Responsibilities
- Execute month-end closing procedures with precision and timeliness
- Manage complex reconciliations across multiple GL accounts and subsidiaries
- Lead financial statement preparation and variance analysis for executive review
- Optimize internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness
- Develop and implement process improvements using automation tools
- Coordinate tax filings and provide support during external audits
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and system utilization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record with GAAP compliance and multi-state tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and BI tools
