Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage general ledger operations and ensure accurate month-end closing
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow forecasting
- Coordinate external audits and maintain compliance with GAAP standards
- Develop financial models for budgeting and strategic planning initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in full-cycle accounting and month-end close procedures
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and reporting
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
