Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned client portfolios including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and payroll processing
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with strict adherence to GAAP
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Maintain compliance with federal/state tax regulations and assist with tax preparation
- Develop custom financial models and KPI dashboards for strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate accounting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Proven track record of managing multi-state accounting operations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for client interactions
- Experience implementing accounting software systems and process optimization
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting
