Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to optimize cash flow
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews and assist with tax preparation
- Develop financial models and variance analyses to support business decision-making
- Maintain accurate financial records and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with remote teams and stakeholders
