Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, optimizing cash flow.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure internal controls are effective and compliant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining tight deadlines.
