Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements for corporate and non-profit clients
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes with strict adherence to GAAP standards
- Conduct detailed reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and intercompany transactions
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with tax professionals to support tax planning and compliance initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants while maintaining client relationships through proactive communication
- Streamline accounting workflows using advanced Excel functions and QuickBooks Online
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables), and accounting software
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and complex reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit preparation
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
