About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the company's financial reporting, ensure compliance with GAAP standards, and support strategic decision-making through accurate data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Manage the General Ledger: Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure all accounting activities comply with federal and state regulations, and assist external auditors during annual reviews.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Monitor and reconcile accounts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely processing of invoices.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting process and provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and a commitment to quality in all financial documentation.
