Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal review and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing and filing necessary tax returns and maintaining proper documentation.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing analytical insights to senior management to support decision-making.
- Conduct regular internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk and ensure data accuracy.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) is required.
- Deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
