Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with commentary
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and balance sheet accounts
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations and SOX controls
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidation processes
- Proven analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
