We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Tucson, Arizona. This is a full-time night shift position ideal for professionals who prefer a focused, quiet work environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring accuracy in our reporting processes.
What You Will Do:
As our Night Shift Accountant, you will manage the end-of-day financial processing, reconciliation tasks, and reporting duties that keep our operations running smoothly after hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger entries.
- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports for the night shift team.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a night shift environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a night shift setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is a plus.
