Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted by the deadline.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Analysis.
- Conduct thorough internal audits and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Manage general ledger functions and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Prepare and analyze complex reports for management review during the night cycle.
- Collaborate with day-shift management teams to ensure seamless handover of financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with specific experience in night shift or high-volume environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and financial software (SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night hours.
- Strong communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams.
