As the Night Shift Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will ensure that all financial data is processed accurately and on time, supporting our 24/7 operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute the monthly and quarterly closing procedures during the designated night shift hours.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and inter-company eliminations.
- Prepare and review general ledger entries and journal vouchers for accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and supporting schedules for external audits.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable aging to ensure timely processing.
- Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to resolve complex accounting issues and ensure seamless operational continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for night shift candidates.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master’s in Accounting (MAcc) is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros) and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and internal control procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a quiet environment.
