Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all reconciliations are accurate and timely.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring all vendor and customer transactions are processed correctly.
- Assist in the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing and filing required documentation.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax season.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
