Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct financial reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and prepare variance analyses for management review.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing necessary schedules and reports.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide requested documentation.
- Oversee the monthly close process and ensure all deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
