Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statement preparation in accordance with US GAAP.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions to ensure data integrity.
- Budget & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, providing variance analysis to management.
- Compliance & Audit: Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve complex financial issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required. CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, preferably within a mid-sized to large organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial data.
