Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist with external audits.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and accounting software to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and internal control procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
