Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal controls.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Prepare and file necessary tax returns and maintain tax compliance documentation.
- Perform internal audits and assist external auditors during their reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
