Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate general ledger maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP guidelines.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax regulations, and auditing standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to stakeholders.
