Role Overview:
In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial reporting, manage complex accounts, and ensure compliance with GAAP standards. You will serve as a key advisor to the finance leadership team, providing insights that influence business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage general ledger activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Supervise the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risk.
- Generate ad-hoc financial reports and dashboards for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks).
- Deep understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to non-financial stakeholders.
