Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and audit tax filings, compliance documentation, and internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Lead process optimization projects for accounting workflows
- Mentor junior accounting staff and ensure team performance excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven experience managing month-end and year-end closing processes
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Certification in relevant accounting software (e.g., Oracle Financials)
