Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and submit accurate tax filings in compliance with federal/state regulations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure financial integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead audit processes and documentation for external reviews
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency
- Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in GAAP and tax regulations (Ohio-specific knowledge a plus)
- Expert-level Excel skills with experience in financial modeling and data analysis
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and month-end procedures
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders
