Responsibilities
- Manage complex general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with precision
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and variance reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and tax regulations
- Develop and implement process improvements for financial operations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
- Prepare detailed financial statements for executive review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (advanced functions)
- Proven track record in SOX compliance and audit preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing financial reporting for multi-state operations
