Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, identifying variances and providing insights to management.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure optimal cash flow and vendor relationships.
- Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, coordinating with external auditors as needed.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in advanced accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, cost accounting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
