Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing with state and federal authorities.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial records are up to date.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
