Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform variance analysis and prepare detailed reports for senior management to support decision-making.
- Assist with the annual external audit process and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset schedules and manage capital expenditure reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA eligibility is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliation, and GAAP principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
