Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved and cash positions are accurate.
- Compliance & Tax: Assist with local and federal tax filings, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department to enhance efficiency.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks.
