Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end monthly and annual financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal controls.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with the tax department to prepare for audits and tax filings.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting software and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
