Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries and reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing with federal, state, and local authorities.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure financial controls are operating effectively and efficiently.
- Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies with high accuracy.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support budget preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
