Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries and perform complex month-end and year-end reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and support the external audit process.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to ensure regulatory compliance (GAAP/IFRS).
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful recommendations to senior management regarding budgeting and forecasting.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely collections and payments.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and accounting software to streamline financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
