Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including GL reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting for executive leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Lead tax preparation and filing processes for federal/state jurisdictions
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic business decisions
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and ensure documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public sector exposure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in high-volume environments
