Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting processes including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance for 100+ employees
- Develop and implement internal controls to optimize financial operations
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for departmental initiatives
- Collaborate with auditors during annual financial reviews
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
