Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate collections.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and coordinate with external auditors.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Maintain and update internal financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
