Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with accurate variance reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and bank reconciliations
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Develop and implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for departmental operations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail with problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines
