Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal financial controls
- Lead reconciliation processes for bank accounts, investments, and balance sheet accounts
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during annual reviews
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel with pivot tables/VLOOKUP
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Proven experience implementing internal controls and ensuring SOX compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to manage competing priorities in deadline-driven environments
