Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance commentary for stakeholders
- Lead tax compliance initiatives including sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate filings
- Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial accuracy
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and system proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA a plus)
- Proven track record of streamlining accounting processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing audits and tax compliance cycles
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
