Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements for diverse industry clients
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general ledger reconciliation processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations while implementing tax strategies
- Lead audit preparations and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Mentor junior accountants and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven ability to manage multi-state tax filings and compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for client/stakeholder interactions
- Experience in forensic accounting or internal controls
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
