Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable business insights
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely payment cycles
- Prepare and maintain complex balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead audits and ensure accurate tax filings with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage 100 preferred)
- Demonstrated success in month-end close processes and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing audits and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
