Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and KPI dashboards
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance
- Implement and optimize internal controls for financial accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Collaborate with department heads on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Lead audits and ensure SOX compliance documentation
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public company exposure
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and advanced Excel functions
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and controls
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present to executive leadership
