Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows) ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage audit processes, coordinate with external auditors, and resolve discrepancies
- Develop and implement financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accountants and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure internal controls documentation and SOX compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Proven experience managing audits and regulatory reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
