Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns, including sales tax.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline reporting procedures and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
