Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet regulatory requirements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budget preparation process and assist in financial forecasting to aid in strategic planning.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate payroll processing and tax filings.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and errors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: Demonstrated high ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
