Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and account analysis to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits and internal reviews.
- Lead the month-end close team and mentor junior staff members.
- Develop and improve internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to present financial information to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
