Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and tax regulations (federal/state)
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and audit procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor management
- Prepare executive dashboards and financial presentations for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated success in financial analysis and reporting
- Strong knowledge of Texas tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
