Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date general ledger records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct internal audits and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Support the budgeting process by analyzing variances and forecasting financial performance.
- Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and strategic planning support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
