Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Audit Support: Assist external auditors during annual audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Payroll Management: Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee wages.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and perform month-end close procedures efficiently.
- Compliance: Stay updated on changing tax laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred but not required for this role.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and ethical judgment when handling sensitive financial information.
