Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including bank reconciliations and intercompany eliminations.
- Cost Accounting: Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures to provide actionable insights to management.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting and tax filings adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and data integrity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Direct Hire environment.
- Software: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of data with zero errors.
