Responsibilities
- Manage the Full-Cycle Accounting Process: Oversee daily general ledger activities, accounts payable, and accounts receivable operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead the monthly close process, ensuring all deadlines are met and all reconciliations are completed accurately.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, company policies, and federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows and systems to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), with advanced knowledge of formulas and PivotTables required.
- ERP Systems: Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Sage) is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
