Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting functions, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and financial reviews to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Cross-train and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure team efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (Advanced).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
