As the Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and forecasting.
- Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during the annual review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
