Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and audit preparations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor financial data to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support the finance team with budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Process payroll entries and ensure tax filings are completed timely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
